Pakistan’s Massive-Scale Manufacturing Up By 5% in First Half of FY26

Pakistan’s Massive Scale Manufacturing (LSM) Index recorded a 0.4 % year-on-year (YoY) improve in December 2025, whereas posting a powerful 9.3 % month-on-month (MoM) progress, reflecting a rebound in industrial exercise.
Through the first half of FY26 (1HFY26), the LSM index grew by 5 % YoY, indicating bettering momentum within the manufacturing sector.

The expansion in December was pushed primarily by a 31 % YoY surge in car manufacturing, alongside 9 % progress in carrying attire, 3 % progress in cement, 3 % progress in non-metallic minerals, and a 2 % improve in textiles.

Nevertheless, a number of sectors recorded declines throughout the month. Fertilizer output fell 10 % YoY, whereas prescription drugs and meals manufacturing declined by 6 % every. Output in petroleum and coke was additionally down 5 % YoY in December 2025.
